What a night

Well, after spending most of the night with a screaming baby (read: screaming, not just crying) we finally figured out exactly what was wrong and why. Poor little Rosie is constipated! And it's because of my percoset.....grrrrrrr.....so the only thing keeping me able to take care of my baby is making it impossible to take care of my baby.
Fortunately, she had one really crazy diaper and two nice nursing sessions, and she seems to be much much better. Now I'm trying to find a balance of how much I need the meds and how much gives her problems. Half dose seems to do her good, but does next to nothing for me, so I'm trying to fall somewhere in between, but that means that I'm a lot more uncomfortable than I would like to be.

In other news, I got Rosie into her first cloth diaper! And about 10 minutes later right back out of it...good way to initiate it, Rosie. :o) I can't believe how fluffy it makes her bum! But the newborn size is already iffy on her, so today I'm going to try a "small" and then maybe I can sell my newborns (and actually make money on them!) Now that that first one is past, I feel much less overwhelmed by them.

Well, all I can say is, who knew having a baby would be so crazy?!?!?! Anyone who thinks they should rush in and have one, feel free to spend the night sometime. :o)
I am just so blessed to have my husband and to have the LORD giving me strength.

Thanks for reading the novel.

Poor Rosie. Constipated babies are no fun. I have a baby massage book that has tummy massages... It helped with Jenna and Cole's constipation. Want to borrow? Also, there is the thermometer trick... :)
