Good Baby

Wow. Yesterday was probably the hardest day ever. We think Rosie's tummy was feeling bad, because everytime she would nurse, she would only nurse for a few minutes, then scream and cry for a long time. She spent most of the day in tears (and I admit I shed a few myself).

But today, she's been great! She's been so quiet and good, even when she's awake, and has been nursing beautifully. It's like someone switched babies in the night or something. I am feeling so refreshed after a decent night's sleep and such a peaceful good day. The Lord knew I needed a day of peace before the crazy week that is coming up.

I'm still really not feeling recovered from the birth. It was not only the most painful thing I've ever been through (which is pretty impressive in itself, considering), but it was pretty traumatic for me. I can't watch baby shows on TLC anymore because I get freaked out. I didn't get freaked out before I gave birth, but now I do. Sad. Anyway, my point is, most days I just lay around watching TV and feeding Rosie because it's all I can manage. Unfortunately, I don't get that luxury this week because, not only is Thanksgiving on Thursday, but Bobby's mom, dad, and grandma are flying in ON Thanksgiving and staying for 6 days. Mark will be staying with us, and I have a ridiculous amount of cleaning and preparing to do. My house has been mostly neglected for the last almost 4 weeks. Anyone who feels like helping out, I pay good! :o) I need to:

declutter the house (a terrifying prospect)
dust
vacuum
mop
clean bird cages
clean bathrooms (Bobby will probably do this)
Bake bread
Laundry

and a million other things that I can't think of right at the moment. Ack!
