She's HEEEERE!!

introducing...

8 pounds 6 ounces (not sure if it was 6 oz or 7.4 oz because her paper said 6, but the picture we took of her on the scale said 7.4)
21 1/2 inches

I was in labor for about 12 hours, pushing for about 20 minutes, and I didn't have any pain meds at all. The Lord truly was the only reason I made it, because I was in truly unimaginable pain, and will never go natural again! I also have a 3rd degree tear.

Rosie is healthy and happy and a very sleepy baby today. She isn't nursing well yet because she swallowed a ton of amniotic fluid and it's making her tummy upset. She's gotten most of it out, and we're working with the nurses and lactation consultants to get her to figure out how nursing works. Please be praying for patience and success with this. She is doing fine without nursing so far because the amniotic fluid has calories and whatnot, but we need to get her nursing before we leave the hospital tomorrow.

Krista dear, please let me know if you need anything when you get home. I know how hard it can be to recover from the kind of tear you have. I'll be praying that your sweet little baby starts nursing well. Thanks for letting me change her! I feel honored. :)

Love you bunches!
