I realized that since I last blogged, Rosie has started doing several new things that definitely should be mentioned.
In addition to standing and cruising, she is now standing on her own without holding onto anything for longish periods of time (like, at least 30 seconds), and will even clap and wave her arms without falling.
BTW, did I mention before that she's clapping now? Can't remember. But she LOVES clapping and claps with music or at anything she thinks is exciting. She also was clapping Bobby's hands together this morning. It was cute.
She's starting to give "kisses". Well, mostly soliciting them, but sort of giving them too. It was really cute today when my dad kissed her, she actually leaned forward with her lips stuck out!
And the funniest thing she is doing now is that she learned how to carry things with her when she crawls...in her mouth! She looks like a little puppy crawling around with a toy in her mouth!!! It makes me laugh. And her favorite toy right now is a set of 3 stacking domes that she puts in her teeth so that they cup her nose or her chin. We got a video of her putting it in her mouth over her nose and bopping up and down because we were laughing at her and she knew she was being cute. It was hilarious.
In other news, I have finally finished re-entering all of my stuff from the year into quickbooks (WHEW!). Bobby is checking over it and has only found a couple of small errors, so so far so good.
And also, we are now a one-bird household, and my mom's is a 4 bird household!!! Gracie went for an extended vacation at my parents. She is just too much for our house right now with Rosie being so mobile and trying to climb her bird cage and getting into the food that Gracie was throwing, besides that I am just worn down by Bobby's lack of patience for the noise. I would never sell Gracie, and I will take her back from my mom as soon as possible, but this is working out well for every one concerned for now. And I can still go and play with and love on my bird if I get sad or miss her. Mom said she feels bad because she feels like a birdnapper, but I told her I feel bad because I feel like a birdfoister. I guess that means everybody's happy with the situation, but not convinced that everyone else is?. I dunno. But my house is so much cleaner and quieter right now, it feels peaceful...but I already miss her sweet little "Goodnight, bird". Oh, and her latest new phrase, "Oh, really"...hehe
