Rosie's 9 month appt was on Monday, and it went well. No shots this time! yay! She's still huge, but not as huge...hopefully she's slowing down a little. Her weight-age is 66.44%tile, length-age fell down to 90%tile (whew!), weight-for-length is 41.92%tile (up from 11.63), and her head circumference is 90.22%tile.
She is crazy mobile now. She can scale walls. literally, all it takes is a straight, sheer surface for her to go from sitting to standing/cruising. She can get around the furniture like nobody's business. She occasionally forgets to hold on to something and will stand for a couple seconds by herself before falling. Right now I have moved things so she's trapped in the living room, and I'm loving the little bit of extra freedom it's giving me! (although not at all practical for a constant set up.)
I think we've finally hit a break in the teething, thank goodness!! (Probably just jinxed myself).
And everything else is going well. Been busy getting ready for my congo grand opening (www.hyenacart.com/onestopshoppe).
Getting fed up with the birds a bit. They are so messy, Rosie is always finding pieces of bird food to try to eat, even 5 minutes after I vacuumed. Yuck. And Gracie is such a dusty thing. I have thought about giving her to my mom, but my mom really doesn't need another bird!!! She would take her (she already told me she would), but I would feel terrible for foisting the extra work on her. Parrots are not very baby friendly when they have to share a space. If I had a different house set up where the birds could be more separated, I dont' think it would be such a problem.
Oh, and Gracie picked up a new phrase. It's adorable. She says "Are you 'ongwy?" lol. "ongwy!" too cute.
