Doing great!

Just thought I should update. Rosie is doing really well! Her medicine is working wonders, and I now have a happy, healthy baby!!! It is so wonderful to have her smiling and playing instead of screaming and crying all of the time. The doctor said the medicine would take 5 days to kick in, and on day 5, she turned into a different kid! Every morning now, she wakes up, eats, and then just lays there squirming and smiling and wanting to play with me. Last night she even giggled! Her happy little coos and squeals make all of our hard weeks seem like distant history. I am so thankful for the miracle of medicine. As much as I hate giving her anything artificial, I feel so much better knowing that her little esophagus isn't being damaged and that she can finally start to enjoy life instead of suffering through it. Seeing your baby hurt can hurt you worse than anything else in the world, and I was getting so worn down and depressed. But now I get to enjoy my baby, and watch her grow and learn and play and be happy. It is wonderful.
