Just a quick answer to a question: why cloth diapers?
Well, three reasons
1. To be "green". Disposables basically never decompose, and the number of them that American's use is frightful
2. To save money. By making them myself, they only cost a couple dollars a piece, and they last as long as they fit
3. They're much gentler on the babies skin. Putting plastic on my baby just sounds weird to me, and with my sensitive skin, I want to be as gentle with the baby's as I can be.
That said, I have nothing against using disposables, and don't plan on using cloth all the time. I just want to do what I can, and since I won't be working, I might as well do some extra laundry! :o)
