What a crazy couple of months it has been!
I got my wisdom teeth out at the beginning of January, and weaned Rosie that week, since I had to be on crazy meds and she was ready anyway. It was too easy! What a blessing!
The rest of January was spent figuring out house stuff. In December, we started looking into building a new house. We talked to 3 different builders, a million banks, and finally put an offer on our favorite piece of land, which is in short sale. The offer was rejected because the bank didn't want to lose money on both ends (short sale and special financing), so our builder decided that he would finance the whole project! yay! No construction loan to worry about! So the builder put an offer on the lot, but is also probably going to buy up the whole subdivision, so we are still just waiting waiting waiting...
Rosie had her 15 month appointment, and is growing and healthy. Her height percentage fell from the upper 90s to the lower 80s, so she is finally starting to slow down on the crazy growth! Hopefully it'll start being easier to find her clothes now (haha, yeah right). Speaking of clothes, she learned how to use zippers, so every morning I find her still in her pjs, but totally unzipped and very proud of herself.
Rosie is also saying way more words. She now says Dada, dog, no, "dis", woah, wow, turtle, fish, bird (biii), ouch, baby, bye-bye, diaper, hi, socks, shoes, and when I'm lucky, Mama!! But she doesn't really use "Mama", but she does say it, and is acting like she's about to start using it. There are probably more words she's saying, but those are the ones she says a lot. Oh, yeah, and her newest words that she just started saying yesterday and today are "bee-e" (pretty) and "peee" (please).
We are now going into tax season, and it's going to be a difficult one. This is our first Saturday without daddy, and Rosie already is noticing a difference and being super clingy with him when he comes home (late) in the evening.
I'm sure there are lots of things that I'm forgetting that are happening right now, so I'll be posting again soon, but that's all I've got for now. :)
