"6 month" checkup

Rosie had her "6 month" checkup today. She is actually 6 months and 16 days, so we were a little behind, but it worked out great with our vacation. She is still growing like a weed!!! She is now 28.5 inches long, at 99.23 %tile!!! That means that she is longer/taller than 99.23% of girls her age!!! CRAZY!!! It's funny, her little dot on her chart isn't even on the curves anymore. She is 17.28 lbs, which puts her at 66.4%tile, and that made her weight-for-length jump up to 11.something %tile. The doctor said she is "perfect" and "thriving". She's still amazed at her teeth (5 in, one or two coming in), but told me I actually need to brush them....weird...babies shouldn't need their teeth brushed (I've brushed them before, just not regularly, and, trust me, it's weird). Guess I have to go buy some baby toothpaste.
She got her 6 month vaccines too, and YAY no more till 12 months!

Cool things she is doing:

Sitting up on her own
still rolling rolling rolling, faster and with more determination everyday (and therefor getting into more trouble)
Eating some solids (rice cereal, yams, and pears so far)
drooling...ever drooling
Oh, and she can pick stuff up with her feet and transfer to her hands! MONKEY TOES!!!

She's also really into saying "bbbmmmm bbbmmmmm bbbbmmmmmmm" like a little motorcycle. She's been making that noise constantly for 2 weeks. And it still cracks me up.

Yup, I'm a mom.

Mother's day was okay. Pretty uneventful. We took my mom to see Star Trek, and that was a blast (sad, but it was my second time seeing it already). Carrie also made an AMAZING breakfast/brunch. Bobby said I messed up his mother's day plan on our vacation by buying myself a purse, so it was pretty bummer on that front, but he's supposed to make it up to me this weekend. I bet he's forgotten already. I'd better remind him (he's not so good at holidays).

Other than that, we had a great time in Colorado, but I can't keep blogging now because I'm supposed to be watching the LOST recap before the season finale.
